Day 3: Rudraprayag to Auli via Chamoli and Joshimath

Continue up the Alaknanda valley through Chamoli to Joshimath, then take the road about 16 km up to Auli. Check in and rest; the first evening of an Auli Uttarakhand tour package is best spent getting used to the cold. Night in Auli or Joshimath.

Day 4: Auli sightseeing

See the ski slopes and the artificial lake, and enjoy the views of Nanda Devi. If you are fit, walk to Gorson Bugyal meadow. In winter, an Auli Uttarakhand tour package can include a short skiing session (own cost) when there is snow. Night in Auli or Joshimath.

Day 5: Skiing day in winter or Badrinath in summer

In winter, spend a second day on the snow or join a GMVN ski course if you booked one. From about May to November, drive about 45 km from Joshimath to Badrinath for darshan and return. Night in Auli or Joshimath.

Day 6: Auli to Rudraprayag side

Day 7: Return to Haridwar or Delhi

What is the best time for an Auli Uttarakhand tour package?

For snow and skiing, choose January to March; snow depends on the weather, so keep your dates a little flexible. For green meadows with Badrinath, choose May–June or September–November, when the temple is open. July and August are monsoon months, when landslides can close hill roads, so we do not suggest an Auli Uttarakhand tour package then.
